After being granted full T20 International status alongside all other associate members back in April 2018, the Malaysia national cricket team went on to play against the Thailand cricket team in their first-ever T20I match. Winning the toss, Malaysia chose to allow Thailand to bat first, with the team managing 113 runs from 20 overs. This was helped heavily thanks to Muhamad Syahadat’s 3 wickets from just 7 balls! The Malaysia national cricket team felt confident in the chase, with consistent batting performances across the board. Seeing out the game, Muhamad Syahadat hit 41 not out as the Malaysia national cricket team won by 5 wickets.
