In this, a nail biting final game played out, with the Mumbai Indians team managing to claim victory by just 23 runs.

The team would also go on to win a further 4 IPL finals in the next decade, winning in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020, asserting themselves as one of the dominant sides in the league. 

Another game which went down in history not only for the Mumbai Indians, but also in the IPL, was the teams match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad back in 2019. This was primarily down to one player in particular: Alzarri Joseph. This was the Antiguans debut in the league and despite this, he managed to set a record, taking the most wickets in a game for a single player at the time. Joseph claimed 6 wickets against the opposition from just 12 balls, an incredible feat that went down in history.
